About Our Past Trainings

Marilyn Bader, NAPPP Trainer/Consultant - Montgomery Upper Middle School

“Establish a Peer Helping Program and “Peer Mediation”. The training was well received. The participants are involved with an interactive activity designing a peer helper. The school hopes to start a program involving peer mediation and mentoring new students. This training was designed to specifically meet the needs of the Middle School.

Cynthia Wynn, CPPE, NAPPP Trainer/Consultant - Lindenwood University

Cynthia taught “Establish a Peer Helper Program” graduate course at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO for 3-hour credit. The participants were taking a break after learning about evaluation of peer programs. All the students worked for schools or agencies and wanted to implement peer helping in a variety of delivery methods such as career guidance, mental health, mentoring and education.

Dr. Judy Tindall - Washington D.C.

The National School Resource Officers Association held a national conference in Washington, D.C. As part of the conference, SRO’s had an opportunity to take “Establish a Peer Helper Program” with an emphasis on highway traffic safety, drug prevention and peer mediation emphasis. The picture was taken after an activity that helped them dream about their program 5 years from now. The participants hope to implement peer mediation in the whole district and others wanted to do peer education.
